![]() | | Dear Scott,
First of all please check the FAQ in the help so that you can learn about the txt format required by WebQuiz XP.
After that, when you have a .txt file ready to be imported, start WebQuiz, choose I want to edit a quiz already created, double click on (Other files...) and in the combobox at the bottom of the window (Files of type) choose Text files (*.txt).
This way, WebQuiz will import all of your questions.

| | | I want to lets say have a different image of flash image for each question that appears. Is this possible?
|
| | | Dear Chaz,
WebQuiz XP allows you to directly add an image to each question. It also supports questions and answers in HTML, so you can add Flash movies, sounds, videos, etc.
Here is how you can add a flash movie to a question:
1) In the Add Question window, Question tab, add the following code:
2) In the Add Question window, Options tab, check the option Do not convert to HTML format
If you want a real sample, please contact us at support and we will send you one.

| | | Is there anyway to have each question on a separate HTML or ASP page? I want to add some interaction before they get to the question. Also, does the manual show how to add an MOV,AVI, IMAGES etc.....
Thanks for the info for flash.....

| | | Dear Chaz,
You can create tests with one question per page. Or maybe you could create a question containing a link to an .HTM page with your multimedia material. So users can see the question, click the link to see the additional material, then close the new window and give their answer.
And yes, I think there should be a sample in the help about adding a sound.

| | | Hello,
I am having difficulty getting the E-mail notification and confirmation to work correctly. In both, the notification and confirmation, I include the following as directed in the bundled help:
Dear .FIRST_NAME. .LAST_NAME.,
Your total score is .SCORE.
I only receive the notification email. The conformation email is returned to me with a note of failed delivery…the original delivery address displays the user data, in my case <.Email.>
Only the score is correctly displayed in the notification and the redirected failed conformation email.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

| | | Dear Anthony,
I think it's a simple issue about field names. Can you please send us to our support e-mail the .wbq file you are using?
We will have a look at it and let you know.

| | | I am having the same issue. Did you ever find a fix?
|
| | | Dear Charles,
Yes, the issue has been solved. This fix will be included in the next update (due in about 10 days), but if you need it sooner please contact our support team by e-mail.

| | | Hi, Did you develop the soft only with .asp or .php is available too ? My provider does not support .asp (it runs on Linux and not Microsoft). Thank you, Fabien Roth
|
| | | Dear Fabien,
Currently WebQuiz XP supports both javascript and .asp assessments. We are already considering adding .php assessments in the future, but we have not taken a decision yet.
If you want, we can host your tests on our server: see this page for more information.

| | | Fabian, There are many servers that host .mdb and .asp, both of which are desired for Webquiz XP. I recently transferred my web hosting to accommodate the requirements…saving some money too. You may also save money by having Smartlite host your quizzes.
3 companies I know of hosting mdb & .asp:
www.jodohost.com ~$6.99/mth w/150 MB www.winsave.com ~$9.00/mth w/100 MB www.isqsolutions.com ~6/mth w/50 MB

| | | Like Anthony, I also transferred to a new host www.webstrikesolutions.com offer 12 months hosting free, then $84 USD per year after that with 100 MB space.

| | | Hi, I like how there is an option to include the correct answers on the Results page; however, I would really like to be able to re-word the "You have made the following erros" part. I will be using this software for younger children and I feel "errors" is a little harsh for this age group. Is there a way I can rephrase that? Thanks.
|
| | | Dear Shannon,
Yes, you can include correct answers on the Results page if you create .asp tests (not javascript). Go to the Quiz style window, Advanced tab and set format = Asp.
With .asp tests, the text "You have made the following erros" does not appear. If you want, you can also edit the messages by editing the asp template.

| | | Hello, I like your quiz software very much and would like to know if the results page may be customize in french (for example, to have Résultats instead of Results; or also the date config (DD/MM/YY), or the word evaluate -> Evaluation and so on). Thank you
|
| | | Dear Fabien,
If you are creating .asp assessments, then you can easily edit the template by opening with Notepad the file asp.dta in the "\WebQuiz XP\Asp" folder and translate words.
If you are creating javascript assessments, then we will soon release a free language pack with already translated words.

| | | Hi, you wrote in a reply: "If you are creating .asp assessments, then you can easily edit the template by opening with Notepad the file asp.dta in the "\WebQuiz XP\Asp" folder and translate words." Unfortunately, I did not find any word that stand on the result page, like "you have made" or "errors". Can you please explain exactly how to process. Thank you
|
| | | Dear Fabien,
I would suggest you to create .asp quizzes, so that you can easily customize them. By default, .asp quizzes do not have any text with "you have made" or "errors".
To create .asp quizzes, in the Quiz Style window, Advanced tab, choose Format = ASP and then publish your quiz. Publishing is required for .asp quizzes to work.
I think that the Results page of .asp quizzes may be suitable for you, because it does not have any reference to errors, etc. For example, see our Samples page: quizzes 1-6 are in javascript, while quizzes 7-9 are in .asp. As you can see, the Results page is different for .asp quizzes.
If you still have any problems, do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
